The Highlight Reels of Our Lives
We’re all showing one another the highlight reel of our lives on here. And that’s ok, we should celebrate our victories, our good moments, and our personal achievements.
But we also have a civil duty to be honest to our fellow man about the trials and tribulations of life, and how we get through if.
From this angle you see my bad ass truck, a big smile, and a sense of pride. But if I was to have a photo taken from any other direction you’d see all the rest of it.
The photo doesn’t show me at 37 years old calling my dad, and asking him if I can borrow his truck to haul my truck to phoenix to get the wiring done.
It doesn’t show the days I have to pull one of my guys aside and ask him if I can pay him Monday when the next check clears.
People tell me everyday “you inspire me man” or that post was so motivating. Truth is, Most the people you look up to on here are fighting the same battles you are.
They're trying to follow their heart, pay their bills, and take care of the small circle around them the best they can.
Im not currently stoked on the home I live in, the car I drive everyday, what I offer my lady, my employees, or my family. I want to do better, and be better on every front.
But everyday, I carry myself like a champion, and hold my head high, not because I’m exactly where I want to be. But because I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.
